What Is Twisting?
Twisting combines multiple parallel filaments or fibers through rotational tension, producing stronger and more compact yarns that resist pilling. Adjusting twist per meter (TPM) and direction optimizes:
- Yarn strength and abrasion resistance
- Fabric texture and three-dimensional appearance
- Drape and overall hand feel of finished products
Processing Specifications
Nylon / Polyester Filament Twisting
- Applicable Denier: 15D–3000D
- Twist Range: 30 TPM–2400 TPM
- Twist Direction: S or Z
- Number of Plies: single, double, or multiple plies available upon request
Short Fiber Yarn Twisting
- Applicable Materials: 100% cotton, Polyester spun, Cotton blends, TR blends, etc.
- Applications: knitted fabrics, woven fabrics, uniform cloth, stretch fabrics, and more
